Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]. This policy explains what [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“Better B”) collects through the Better B Grub app and getbetterb.com, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account info: name, email, phone (if given), and your role (buyer, cook, driver).
- Orders: what you ordered, pickup or delivery address, tips, reviews and reports.
- Cooks and drivers: documents you upload for review (for example a food handler card, ADHS registration, driver’s license and insurance), vehicle details, payout status, earnings, and the expenses, receipts and mileage you choose to track.
- Location: a cook’s pickup point and delivery addresses, used to show distance and plan deliveries. Buyers see an approximate distance, not a cook’s exact address before ordering.
- Device: a push notification token if you allow alerts, and basic technical logs.
- AI helper chats: the questions you ask and the answers, stored with your account. Questions are sent to our AI provider to produce answers.
- Waitlist (getbetterb.com): if you join the waitlist, your name, email, town and role (buyer, cook or driver). We use it only to tell you about the launch, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
What we don’t collect
We don’t store full card or bank numbers. Stripe handles payments and payouts and collects identity details for payouts under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
To run the marketplace (orders, deliveries, payouts, memberships), keep it safe (reviews of cooks and drivers, reports, fraud prevention), send the alerts you asked for, provide support, and meet legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
With the cook or driver on your order, as needed to fill it. With service providers: Supabase (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), Expo and Google Firebase (push notifications), Google (maps and geocoding), Cloudflare (website and waitlist) and our AI provider, xAI. And when the law requires it. We don’t sell your personal information.
Keeping and deleting data
You can delete your account in the app (Account → Profile & delete account → Delete account) or at getbetterb.com/delete-account. Some records, such as payment and tax records, are kept as long as the law requires. [RETENTION PERIODS: ATTORNEY TO COMPLETE]
Security
Documents and receipts are stored privately and only you and authorized admins can see them. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
The app is for people 18 and older.
